Heritage & Origin 

A&Co. is rooted in the soil and spirit of what was once ‘Bombay’—now Mumbai. Before the city became a modern metropolis, it existed as seven separate islands, home to an indigenous coastal community known as the Agri-Koli. These communities lived in harmony with the sea, untouched by the outside world, and built their lives around fishing — not as an industry, but as a way of survival, culture, and identity.

Today, A&Co. proudly partners with the heirs of the Agri-Koli community for the sourcing of our raw seafood. Their unmatched expertise and deep ocean knowledge come from generations of fishermen whose only purpose was to understand the sea and respect its rhythm. Their heritage is not learned — it is inherited.

By working directly with these communities, we honor their legacy, support their livelihoods, and ensure that the seafood we deliver is as authentic, fresh, and sustainably sourced as it has been for centuries.

What’s Different About A&Co. 

A&Co. walks with one of its strongest pillars — Sustainability. From sourcing to delivery, every step reflects our responsibility toward the ocean. We deliver our seafood wrapped in banana leaves, staying close to natural, traditional, and zero-plastic practices.

And we don’t stop there.

A portion of every purchase is contributed directly to the customer’s local ocean clean-up foundation, ensuring that the money spent on seafood helps restore the ocean it came from.
